Apartment Owners Group Sues to Block Tenant Protections in Los Angeles

A non-profit group (The Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles - AAGLA) representing apartment owners filed a lawsuit in an attempt to block the tenant protections that Los Angeles made permanent in February.


The lawsuit wants to, among other things, overturn the requirement of a financial threshold of past due rent to be met prior to starting an eviction.
